If you live in the United States and use an Android smartphone, chances are you've already seen Google's new Android experience, similar to Android Auto, for mobile devices. Although not yet a full-fledged experience, the new Assistant driving mode was to replace Android Auto.

After months of development, Google seems confident that Assistant Driving Mode is ready to share with a wider audience. Starting this week, Android users in many countries will begin to see the new Android Auto-like experience.

The Google Support page mentions that this Google Assist mode overview will now be available to Android users in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, India, and Singapore.

Just like Android Auto, Google Assistant driving mode should allow you to use voice to send and receive calls and messages, as well as alert you to an incoming call to allow you to answer or reject it aloud. Normally, you can also use the drive mode to listen to your favorite music from any streaming service you subscribe to (ie Spotify, YouTube Music).

Keep in mind that if you live in one of the countries where Google is now introducing Assistant Driving mode, you will need an Android 9.0 or later smartphone with at least 4 GB of RAM.
