Google Photos now lets Users add Media Files to Albums when Offline
You'll need to be online to add photos or videos to your Google Photos albums. But that will change, as Google is now preparing a small update that allows you to upload album content even when the user is offline.
The new feature discovered by AndroidPolice is not something you can force on your Android smartphone, so you will have to wait for Google to push it on your device. Once you add your photos and videos to an album, they will be synced to Google servers as soon as your smartphone is connected to the Internet.
While there are many alternatives to Google Photos, the Google app probably remains the best solution when it comes to sharing and storing media content online. Although you will soon have to pay for the storage of Google Photos, occasional users will still be able to enjoy its benefits for free.
Those of you who can't wait to try out the new feature may want to download the latest version of Google Photos, but if the option to add photos and videos to albums while offline is not available even after the update, you will probably need to wait.
