Although it is still a few months since the release of the iPhone 13 series, there are already many rumors, hinting at what we can expect from Apple smartphones for 2021. Below is everything we know about the iPhone 13 right now.

iPhone 13 Release Date

- September 7 or 14, 2021

Apple usually holds an iPhone event every year in early September, so we can expect the iPhone 13 to be released at that time. However, because 2020 was a particularly difficult year for everyone, the iPhone event was postponed to October 13. We can not rule out delays in 2021, although there is currently no information that suggests that this will happen.

iPhone 13 Price

- About $ 799 for the base iPhone 13 model

We know that Apple wants to increase iPhone production in India and transfer about 20% of iPhone production outside of China, but we have yet to see if this will have an impact on the price of future iPhones. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that we should expect a big change in the prices of the upcoming iPhones.

The iPhone 13 series can cost as much as the iPhone 12 series, which is priced at:

- iPhone 12 mini - $ 699

- iPhone 12 - $ 799

- iPhone 12 pro - $ 999

- iPhone 12 Pro Max - $ 1099

iPhone 13 Camera

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors), the ultra-wide camera angle of the iPhone 13 will be upgraded to f / 1.8, 6P (six-element lens) and will have autofocus, unlike the fixed-focus lens with five ultra-elements -Wide-angle camera on iPhone 12.

In December 2020, Korean media confirmed rumors that Apple would produce components to zoom in on Samsung's iPhone periscope. However, the results of this partnership are currently expected to be seen no earlier than the iPhone 14.

On January 9, 2021, the supply chain information report states that iPhone 13 camera upgrades and an updated FaceID setup are expected. They are said to include a "narrower" TrueDepth camera, which could potentially mean a smaller notch.

iPhone 13 Design

- The notch on the iPhone 13 remains, Touch ID could be restored by placing it under the display

In 2020, Apple introduced a change in the look of its iPhone line by designing the iPhone 12 series with flat edges instead of curved ones. This design is reminiscent of well-respected previous Apple phones, such as the iPhone 5, and is consistent with what the iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Air look like.

The above report from January 9, 2021, suggested that all variants of the iPhone 13 will become 0.26 mm thicker, resulting in larger batteries.

iPhone 13 Display

The iPhone 13 series will probably have sporty flexible OLED displays instead of LCDs. iPhone 13 displays are also expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz, which was reportedly not present in the iPhone 12 series due to battery life concerns.

As for the size of the display, according to the early rumors of the iPhone 13, we can expect that the iPhone 13 series will include phones with a display size close to what the iPhone 12 series has, if not something bigger. This means that we will potentially get the following:

- iPhone 13 mini - 5.4-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels (476 PPI)

- iPhone 13 - 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels (460 PPI)

- iPhone 13 Pro - 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels (460 PPI)

- iPhone 13 Pro Max - 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels (458 PPI) iPhone 13 Features and software

It is practically certain that the iPhone 13 will have 5G support. Internally, the iPhone 13 Series will likely be powered by the still-announced Apple A15 chip. For charging, they will support wireless charging via MagSafe, possibly along with Lightning (or USB Type-C) wired charging.

As for the lack of features, the headphone jack does not come back, and we may even notice the removal of the charging port in favor of only MagSafe wireless charging. The latter is speculation, however, and may be delayed until the iPhone 14 or later. In any case, at least there will be no charger in the box with iPhone 13, because we have already seen that Apple removes it from the retail boxes of Apple Watch and iPhone 12, citing environmental reasons.

In terms of software, the iPhone 13 will run iOS 15, which will likely be released in September, as were many previous versions of iOS. We have yet to discover what new software features iOS 15 will bring to the iPhone 13.
