Earlier, it was reported that Apple will use LTPO OLED panels on its two iPhone 13 Pro phones. The latest report comes from DigiTimes, which claims that Samsung and LG will produce these panels.

The two companies are currently in the process of transferring their iPhone product lines to LTPO. In January, The Elec announced that only the Samsung Display would be ready to supply Apple with the new type of display and that the LG Display would join next year. If the DigiTimes report is correct, Apple now has two suppliers of ready-made LTPO displays.

When it comes to the standard iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, they will retain the older LTPS OLED technology, with panels manufactured by LG and BOE. The new LTPO technology consumes less and provides adjustable refresh rates up to 120 Hz.

According to analysts, the iPhone 13 series will be introduced in September, and this will be a return to the usual release schedule. If supply chain issues arise, Apple may delay announcing the new iPhone line for October.
